The sections you have received following your Raising to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, complete this Manual of Instruction and Improvement.

The purpose of the Manual has been to offer to you relevant information about your degrees, some understanding of the structure of your lodge, and of Grand Lodge, whilst giving you some general information during these formative months in Freemasonry.

This Manual is but a drop of water in the ocean of material that has been written on the subject of Freemasonry. Volumes of masonic literature may be found in many lodge libraries, and particularly in our own Grand Lodge Library (at 1495 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC) on almost any aspect of Freemasonry you may care to investigate. It is hoped that you will take full advantage of these resources and others that you find.

It is the sincerest hope of the Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon that you have been stimulated to begin your personal Masonic journey along the many paths of our fraternity, and that you will now start to establish your own philosophy of life.

Perhaps, at a later date, you might share what you have learned about Freemasonry, and one evening present to your brethren a talk on the discoveries you have made whilst doing your research.
