As a Master Mason it is your privilege to visit any regular lodge of Freemasons in the world, providing you can prove yourself to be in good standing.

Be cautious and first ascertain that the Lodges you visit are ‘regular’, meaning that they are a recognized lodge under a Grand Lodge with which the Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon is in amity.

The lodge secretary will have a book that names all the lodges that are ‘regular’. You will need to present your dues card, and in some cases even your Master Mason’s certificate and, when you have completed a satisfactory examination (unless someone in that lodge can vouch for you), you will be received most royally.

When planning to visit any regular lodge outside this jurisdiction, you must first inform Grand Lodge, and obtain a letter of introduction.

It is a very serious breach of masonic conduct to communicate with any person or organization, calling himself or itself masonic, and which is outside this jurisdiction, without having first obtained the permission of your own Grand Lodge to do so.
